Tendon Transfer Surgeries

Young patient had the fracture of Rt Humerus and radial nerve injury before 2 years. Fracture of the humerus was stabilized immediately after the injury. But due to injury to radial nerve patient had Rt wrist drop. He was not able to dorsiflex the wrist and extend his fingers as well as the thumb.

Jones tendon transfer surgery was done for Rt forearm. Pronator teres to Extensor carpi radialis Bravis, Flexor carpi ulnaris to Extensor digitorum communis and Palmaris Longus to Extensor pollicis longus.

At present patient is able to do all activities with his Rt Hand.
